Production Shift Manager

Location: Hull, East Yorkshire
Salary: £42,000–£46,000 DOE
Hours: 4 on / 4 off (5:30am – 6:00pm)
Holidays: 20 days + Bank Holidays

Are you a highly motivated production leader looking for your next challenge? We’re seeking an experienced Production Shift Manager to oversee multiple production lines in a fast-paced, high-quality food production environment.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering the daily production plan efficiently while ensuring compliance with health, safety, food hygiene, and quality standards. This is a hands-on role where leadership, organisation, and continuous improvement skills are key.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and motivate a multi-skilled production team across shifts.

  • Lead daily meetings to review staff, production targets, and operational issues.

  • Ensure daily production plans and customer orders are completed in full.

  • Monitor costs, minimise waste, and achieve productivity KPIs.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Kaizen principles.

  • Oversee training, appraisals, and staff development.

  • Maintain compliance with all health & safety and food safety regulations.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in production management, ideally in food manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial settings.

  • Strong organisational and planning skills.

  • Hands-on leadership approach with excellent communication skills.

  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and able to lead by example.
