A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a growing FMCG manufacturing business based in Hayes. The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for both mechanical maintenance and MIG welding/fabrication, working on a variety of production and packaging machinery including conveyors, labellers, packaging equipment and multi-head weighers. The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will carry out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs, ensuring machinery operates efficiently to maintain production throughput and quality KPIs. This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced FMCG environment with opportunities for training, overtime and long-term progression.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of “Mechanical Maintenance Engineer”

• Must have mechanical maintenance experience within an FMCG, manufacturing, production, or industrial engineering environment.

• Must have MIG welding and fabrication experience.

• Must have experience working with mechanical components such as bearings, belts, chains, rollers, sprockets, pumps or motors.

Essential Requirements of “Mechanical Maintenance Engineer”

• Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.

• Strong fault finding and troubleshooting skills.

• Experience using workshop tools and fabrication equipment.

Desirable Requirements of “Mechanical Maintenance Engineer”

• Experience working on labellers, packaging machinery or multi-head weighers.

• Previous experience in an FMCG or food manufacturing environment.

• Basic knowledge of pneumatics.
