MULTI-SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Glasgow
Salary: £44,000 – £50,000
Shift: 4 on 4 off (Nights)

The Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, fast-paced manufacturing site in Glasgow.

You’ll be part of a supportive and close-knit engineering team, working within a business that genuinely values its engineers, invests in development, and promotes from within.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in keeping production running efficiently, minimising downtime, and driving continuous improvement across site.

 Key Responsibilities

• Electrical and mechanical fault finding on production machinery
• Reactive maintenance to minimise downtime
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
• Working closely with production teams to drive efficiency

We are open to engineers from varied backgrounds, including:

• Manufacturing / factory environments
• Forces / ex-military (REME, Navy, RAF engineering)
• Industrial, plant, or heavy engineering environments

If you have strong fault-finding skills and the right attitude, training can be provided to bridge any gaps into manufacturing.

Non-Negotiables

• Multi-skilled maintenance experience (electrical & mechanical)
• Hands-on experience with PPM and breakdown maintenance
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability

Requirements

• Engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical – NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
• Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

• PLC fault finding (Siemens / Allen Bradley – inputs & outputs)
• Previous manufacturing experience
