ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR
Job Title: Engineering Supervisor

The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join a well-established, industry-leading manufacturing business in Thetford.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for overseeing a team of engineers, ensuring the smooth running of maintenance operations across the site. You will play a key role in driving reliability, improving performance, and maintaining high engineering standards.
You will lead from the front, supporting both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities, coordinating planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and ensuring fast and effective response to breakdowns.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance engineers
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance activities across the site
- Ensure all PPM schedules are completed effectively
- Support and coordinate breakdown response to minimise downtime
- Drive continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and compliance
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within maintenance
- Strong multi-skilled background (electrical and mechanical)
- Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with PPM, reactive and breakdown maintenance
- Recognised engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical)
Desirable Skills
- Experience working with PLCs and fault finding
- Previous experience within a UK manufacturing environment
