Job Title – Loading Bay Operative
Location – Borehamwood, Hertfordshire
Salary – £29,000
Shift – Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:30


Job Role of the Loading Bay Operative.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a reliable and proactive Loading Bay Operative to join a well-established and highly recognised prop hire company within the film, TV, and events industry. This is a fast-paced and physically demanding environment where organisation, accuracy, and teamwork are key.

Working within a busy loading bay, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth coordination of deliveries, dispatches, and stock handling operations.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Loading Bay Operative

  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling and lifting
  • Strong attention to detail when handling and checking stock
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Requirements for the Loading Bay Operative.

  • Experience working in a busy, hands-on role with responsibility
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks
  • Positive attitude with a proactive approach to work
  • Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented

Key Responsibilities of the Loading Bay Operative

  • Coordinate a high volume of deliveries and dispatches within tight timeframes
  • Accurately pick stock to match customer orders prior to dispatch
  • Inspect all stock before dispatch and upon return
  • Maintain photographic records of stock prior to dispatch
  • Report damaged or missing stock to the Loss & Damage Manager
  • Ensure all stock is returned and stored neatly and correctly
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe loading bay and yard
  • Support other team members with ad-hoc tasks when required
  • Follow all basic health, safety, and hygiene practices
