Job Title – Building Services Engineer
Location – Harrogate, North Yorkshire
Salary – £34,500 - £38,500 + £3185 for Callout
Shift – Days (Mon–Fri 8:00am – 4:00pm + 1 in 4 on-call rota)

Job Role of the Building Services Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Building Services Engineer to join a well-established and highly respected FMCG business based in Harrogate. This is a unique role offering a 50/50 split between a manufacturing site and supporting multiple local team rooms, giving excellent variety in your day-to-day work.

This family-run organisation is known for its strong values, high-quality products, and continued investment into its people and facilities. It is an ideal role for an engineer who enjoys a mix of hands-on maintenance, problem-solving, and working across different environments.

You will be responsible for supporting all building-related equipment and services, with a focus on electrical (70%) and mechanical (30%) systems. This includes installation, testing, fault finding, and maintenance of building systems such as fire alarms, BMS systems, ventilation, and general facilities.

• Experience in building services or facilities maintenance
• 18^th edition

Requirements for the Building Services Engineer

• Electrical fault-finding experience
• Ability to carry out both electrical and basic mechanical tasks
• Experience working with systems such as BMS, fire alarms, and ventilation
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach

Desirable Requirements for the Building Services Engineer

• Experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
