Location: Caunton, Newark (Nottinghamshire)
Salary: £27,400 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week (Core hours 8:00am – 4:40pm)
Sector: Manufacturing / Production

Job Role of the 360 Plant Operator

A great opportunity has arisen for a 360 Plant Operator to join a specialist UK manufacturing business producing high-quality animal bedding products. This is a hands-on role working within a busy production and warehouse environment where you will operate heavy plant equipment and support the smooth running of factory operations.

You will be responsible for safely operating 360-degree loading equipment, forklifts, and telescopic loaders, as well as supporting production through the operation of bagging and drying machinery. This is a key role in ensuring product quality, operational efficiency, and maintaining a safe working environment at all times.

Main Responsibilities

  • Safely operate 360-degree loading equipment, forklifts, and telescopic loaders

  • Operate bagging and drying machinery within the production facility

  • Carry out basic fault finding and troubleshooting to support continuous production

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety

  • Ensure all products meet required quality standards

  • Support preventative maintenance tasks on factory equipment

  • Follow all company health & safety procedures and compliance requirements

Non-Negotiable Requirements

  • Valid forklift licence

  • Previous experience operating plant machinery or working in a similar production environment

  • Own transport due to site location

Desirable Experience

  • Experience operating 360 plant equipment or telescopic loaders

  • Background in agricultural, industrial, or FMCG environments

  • Basic maintenance or mechanical troubleshooting skills
