Salary – £52,000
Shift – Perm Nights 

Job Role of the Maintenance Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and highly successful bakery manufacturing business working a permanent nights shift. The company is the UK’s largest independent manufacturer of private label cupcakes, supplying major retailers across the UK.

Working as the sole Maintenance Engineer on permanent nights, you will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance across a fast-paced production environment. This is a hands-on role requiring strong fault-finding ability, independence, and a proactive approach to keeping production running efficiently.

You will be working on a wide range of bakery and packaging equipment including mixers, hoppers, depositors, conveyors, ovens, flow wrap machines, labellers, and automated sleeving systems, along with site services such as refrigeration and effluent plant.

• Engineering Qualification

Desirable Requirements for the maintenance Engineer

• Experience working in automated food production environments
• PLC fault-finding experience
• Strong communication skills and a “can do” attitude
