Shift: 4 on 4 off Days + On Call

Job Role of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will be joining a well-established manufacturing business operating within a bulk processing environment.

This is a site-based role supporting continuous production through a mix of reactive and planned maintenance. The site is mechanically biased, with most faults relating to wear components and material handling systems.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer looking for a stable, long-term role within a close-knit engineering team, where the focus is on keeping plant running efficiently rather than high-speed automation.

• Experience working within a manufacturing / processing / industrial environment
• Engineering Qualification
• Commutable to site 

Requirements for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias
• Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance
• Ability to diagnose faults and repair plant equipment independently
• Comfortable working on bulk handling / processing equipment
• Able to PLC fault find 

The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:

• Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance across site machinery (majority reactive)
• Ensuring plant and machinery operate efficiently to minimise downtime
• Diagnosing and repairing faults across mechanical and electrical systems
• Completing routine inspections and site walkarounds (safety, leaks, general condition)
• Working on components such as beater bars, bearings, chains, belts, sprockets and alignments
• Supporting production by maintaining equipment availability
• Participating in the on-call rota and responding to breakdowns where required

The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will work on:

• Silos & storage bins
• Screw, bucket and belt conveyors
• Hammer mills and pellet mills
• Mixers and blending equipment
• Automated batching and dosing systems
• Weigh scales / load cells
• Bagging and bulk loading systems
• Palletising equipment
• Dust extraction systems
• Compressed air systems
• Motors, drives, sensors and basic PLC systems
