Shift: Monday - Friday Days

Job Role of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a heavy industrial manufacturing business. Working within a fast-paced production environment, you will be responsible for maintaining a wide range of plant machinery through planned and reactive maintenance, helping to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.

This is a hands-on position offering a great work-life balance, where you'll support breakdown response, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement activities across a busy manufacturing site.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

  • Mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience carrying out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Strong experience working on conveyor systems.

 

Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

  • Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • Level 3 Engineering qualification or time-served apprenticeship.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes and pumps.
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset.
  • Health & Safety awareness.

 

Desirable Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Food, FMCG, Agricultural or Heavy Industrial experience.
  • Physically fit and able (role is physically demanding).

 

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will benefit from:
