Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and unplanned mechanical maintenance across site equipment and systems.

  • Perform maintenance on process piping, valves, and pressure systems.

  • Support tank inspections, isolations, and integrity checks.

  • Maintain cranes, winches, and lifting equipment, including rigging and slinging operations.

  • Assist with fire pump testing, hose pressure testing, and hazardous area inspections.

  • Undertake preventative maintenance on valves, loading arms, and couplers.

  • Liaise with and oversee third-party contractors to ensure safe and effective execution of maintenance tasks.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all work complies with H&S and engineering standards.

About You

  • Time-served Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or equivalent qualification (NVQ Level 3 / ONC / HNC).

  • Proven experience in a heavy, industrial, or process environment (e.g., oil & gas, chemicals, utilities, aggregates, or manufacturing).

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and maintenance best practices.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to strict safety procedures.

  • Confident working both independently and as part of a maintenance team.

What's on Offer

  • Competitive salary up to £44,000, depending on experience.

  • Day shift pattern - great work-life balance.

  • Overtime opportunities.

  • Excellent training and career development prospects.
