
Machine Setter – Corby
Salary: £28,500 – £32,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: 6am–6pm Days and Nights
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Holiday: 22 days + bank holidays
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Machine Setter to join a leading manufacturer of innovative and sustainable packaging solutions, based in Corby, Northamptonshire. This company specialises in the development and production of high-quality rigid plastic products, supplying a wide range of industries — including the NHS.
As a Machine Setter, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of production lines, maintaining high standards of quality, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Set up and run allocated production lines efficiently, meeting company targets for output and quality.

Maintain optimal machine utilisation and material efficiency.

Ensure consistent production quality in line with company standards.

Perform duties within agreed timescales and maintain accurate production records.

Support equipment care, tooling maintenance, and general housekeeping.

Work flexibly to cover vacant shifts where required.

Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.

Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills.
About You
-
Previous experience as a Machine Setter, ideally within a plastics or packaging manufacturing environment.

Mechanically minded with a practical, hands-on approach.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Reliable, motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Flexible and proactive attitude towards work.
