Production Manager – High-Volume Manufacturing Site

Location: Wirral, Merseyside
Salary: £50,000–£55,000 + 10% Bonus
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

A leading international packaging manufacturer is seeking a Production Manager to oversee a busy production site producing millions of bottles and caps per week for major FMCG clients. This is a rare opportunity to step into a role with immediate impact, as the current Production Manager is being promoted to Operations Manager.

The Role:
You will lead a team of 70 staff, ensuring production runs efficiently and safely while driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your focus will include:

• Managing daily production and schedules to maximise output and efficiency

• Implementing lean manufacturing practices and reducing downtime

• Leading, training, and developing your team

• Ensuring strict adherence to health & safety and quality standards

• Preparing daily, monthly, and financial production reports

• Acting as a key point of contact for on-site stakeholders

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Production Manager in plastics, FMCG, or automotive manufacturing

• Strong leadership, people management, and team development skills

• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement

• RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and H+S experience essential
