Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician
Location: London
Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 per annum
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm (40 hours per week)

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Quality Assurance Technician to join a fast-growing food manufacturing business. This role requires a strong presence on the production floor combined with technical and administrative responsibilities to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

You will work closely with management and production teams to maintain high-quality processes, conduct audits, and support staff training. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is engaging, influential, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily QA walkarounds, checking for hazards, hygiene standards, cleaning, and compliance with site procedures.

  • Maintain and update quality manuals, factory procedures, company policies, and technical documentation in line with legislation.

  • Perform internal audits, GMP audits, glass & hard plastic checks, pest control follow-ups, and calibration of equipment.

  • Support with food safety processes including HACCP, CCP validation & verification, allergen management, traceability, and lab testing.

  • Investigate and report on customer complaints, supplier NCRs, and corrective actions.

  • Manage staff training records, induction processes, and refresher training on food safety, hygiene, COSHH, and manual handling.

  • Oversee labelling, specifications, and documentation for new product development (NPD).

  • Assist with packaging, goods-in, or production duties when required.


About You

We are looking for a bubbly, outgoing, and proactive individual who can balance technical precision with strong communication and leadership on the factory floor.

Essential skills & experience:

  • Previous QA or food manufacturing experience

  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety legislation

  • Exposure to auditing and compliance processes

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

  • A “hands-on” attitude with the ability to influence and engage teams
