Salary: Up to £50,000

Shift: Monday - Friday Days (8:00am - 5:00pm)

Job Role of the Multi Skilled Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business in the Bicester area. Working as part of a close-knit engineering team, you'll be responsible for maintaining a wide range of processing and packaging equipment, helping to maximise plant reliability, minimise downtime and support day-to-day production.

This is a varied, hands-on engineering role where you'll carry out a mixture of planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdown repairs and continuous improvement activities across both electrical and mechanical systems. You'll also work closely with the wider engineering team to identify equipment improvements, increase reliability and support future site investment projects as the business continues to grow.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Multi Skilled Engineer

• Multi Skilled Engineer with a 70/30 Electrical or Mechanical bias.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
• Experience carrying out planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance within an industrial manufacturing environment.

Requirements of the Multi Skilled Engineer

• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities.
• Experience working on pumps, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Electrical experience including single phase, three phase, motors, sensors, relays and inverters.
• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
• Reactive breakdown maintenance.
• CMMS / Maintenance Management Systems.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Continuous Improvement.
• Eligible to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available).

Desirable Requirements of the Multi Skilled Engineer

• Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment.
• PLC fault finding experience, ideally Mitsubishi.
• Welding and machining experience.
• Electrically biased engineer.
