Production Coordinator

Location: Nazeing, Essex (EN9 2PD)
Salary: £37,000 (rising to £40,000 after 6 months)
Hours: 40 hours/week (paid 45-minute breaks)
Shift: Monday to Friday (1x Saturday per month for stock take)

Lignacite Ltd is hiring a Production Coordinator to support the smooth, efficient, and effective operation of our Nazeing site. You'll play a key role in liaising between production, transport, engineering, and sales teams to ensure everything runs like clockwork.

We’re a family-run business with over 65 years of history, supplying sustainable concrete blocks to projects like The Gherkin, The Shard, and the Olympic Stadium. Now, we’re looking for a sharp, organised individual to keep our production engine humming.


Your Responsibilities:

Production & Admin

  • Assist with day-to-day tasks including production planning, payroll, inductions, and admin.

  • Maintain accurate records in Microsoft Excel and NAV (ERP system).

  • Coordinate closely with the Engineering team on purchasing and maintenance matters.

Stock Management

  • Monitor and manage raw materials, block and fairfaced stock, and pallet inventory.

  • Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.

  • Work with suppliers to maintain appropriate stock levels.

  • Optimise yard layout for efficient stock control and access.

Systems & Reporting

  • Process invoices, deliveries, and receipts via NAV.

  • Produce regular reports and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in a production, supply chain, or logistics coordination role.

  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, production planning, or ERP systems (NAV ideal).

  • GCSEs required; Bachelor's degree in logistics, business admin or related field desirable.

  • Highly organised, with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
