Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

DAYS BASED ROLE (Mon-Fri) 

£35,500

WOLVERHAMPTON

The primary role of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer is to enhance, maintain and repair as necessary all the plant, equipment and services within the company to a standard that allows company targets to be achieved.

Must be able to read electrical & mechanical drawings!!

Duties include:

  • Carry out maintenance activities that will minimise breakdowns and maximise the life of the equipment within the company - planned PPM's.
  • Repair as part of a team all engineering breakdowns, failures and implement installations associated with the company.
  • Identifying which repair, maintenance and enhancement (new developments/ projects) activities are to be 'actioned' from within the company and identify the spares/ consumables required to support such activities.
  • Maintaining relationships with appropriate plant and services contractors/ suppliers and arrange for such suppliers to undertake the engineering works that are required through breakdowns, maintenance and project/ enhancement work.
  • Understanding the mechanical engineering, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic configurations, layouts and drawings of all the plant equipment and services.
  • Work closely with Production, Tool Change and Tool Room teams to effectively achieve the required engineering outcome.
  • Organise and maintain the technical database.
  • Operate within key engineering and Health & Safety codes.

The candidate will have:

  • Proven experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven working knowledge of plant maintenance and repair including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic and mechanical systems
  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Electrical or Multi Skilled Engineering
  • Qualification in 17th Edition Wiring Regulations
