Health & Saftey Manager

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 

Shift: DAYS 

OTE: £50,000

A fantastic opportunity has arisen working as a Health & Saftey Manager for a growing food manufacturing company. This company have recently doubled the size of the factory and invested heavily in new machinery. The job is to proactively plan, organize and manage a comprehensive risk management and loss prevention program to protectits employees from exposure to risks that could have adverse consequences

Skills required for Maintenance Engineer:

  • Nebosh /Iosh to Diploma level is essential
  • Previous Experiencee within a health & Saftey Role (3 Years)
  • Ideally you would have worked within a fast-paced manufacturing environment but will consider other industrial sectors

Key Responsibilites 

Key Responsibilities:

· To be Site lead in all aspect of risk reduction and the measurement of these

· To facilitate the implementation of policies and procedures which help reduce, eliminate and control risks

· To lead the Culture Change for Health and Safety

· To support and work closely with internal departments in planning, reviewing and achieving objectives and targets as well as promoting continuous improvement and development throughout

· To develop best practice procedures in conjunction with the site in Banbury

· To investigate any incidents promptly and completely as required by company policies and procedures and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken

· To keep abreast of any changes or updates to relevant legislation and industry guidance/best practice and ensure that such information is communicated and acted upon

· To manage the process of identifying, assessing and controlling the risks to the Site and the Company as a whole

· To train and educate staff in risk management

· To work with relevant individuals to ensure Fine Lady Bakeries assets are operated and kept in safe working conditions

· To collect and analyze data with appropriate risk reporting and report data monthly to the Board, Site Manager and Senior Management Team

· To manage any claims and lead on all communication with insurance companies and statutory/legal bodies

· To perform and control a full risk management audit over operational effectiveness and compliance with regulations

· To identify any gaps and recommend risk aversion measures

· To conduct follow up audits to monitor the effectiveness and implementation of the Risk Management program

· To lead inspections and communications with any relative authorities whilst working alongside the Senior Management Team

· To take an active role in managing our environmental challenges
