Job Title: Quality Technician
Location: Gainsborough, Lincolnshire
Salary: Up to £32,000
Shift: 4 on 4 off Days and Nights – 6am–6pm / 6pm–6am

Job Role of the Quality Technician

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quality Technician to join a market-leading manufacturing business operating within the sustainable plastics and recycling sector. This is a hands-on quality role offering full training, career development and the opportunity to work within an established quality team.

The Quality Technician will complete quality checks across the production plant alongside laboratory-based sample testing. You will support production with investigations, help improve right-first-time performance and ensure finished materials meet the required quality standards.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Quality Technician

• Previous quality experience within a manufacturing environment.

OR

• A recently completed chemistry-related degree.

Requirements for the Quality Technician

• Comfortable spending the majority of the role within the production plant rather than solely in the laboratory.
• Able to work a 4 on 4 off rotating days and nights shift pattern.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing and record-keeping.
• Good English, numeracy and computer skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a shift-based quality team.
• Confident communicating quality findings to production colleagues.

Desirable Requirements for the Quality Technician

• Experience completing quality testing or product inspections.
• Experience supporting investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Internal auditing experience.
• Previous exposure to plastics, recycling or process manufacturing.
