Job Role of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a range of industrial machinery and equipment. You will play a key role in maximising equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and ensuring the smooth running of the site.

This opportunity is open to engineers from a variety of industrial backgrounds, including manufacturing, the RAF, Royal Navy, REME, Army, Marine, and other relevant military engineering environments. Candidates with strong electrical fault-finding skills and a solid engineering foundation are encouraged to apply.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Multi-skilled maintenance engineering experience with a strong electrical bias.
• Experience within an industrial environment, such as manufacturing, the RAF, Royal Navy, REME, Army, Marine, or a similar engineering setting.
• A recognised electrical engineering qualification.

Requirements for the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Hands-on electrical fault-finding and diagnostic experience.
• Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and breakdown repairs.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults on industrial machinery and equipment.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and equipment reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures within an industrial environment.

Desirable Requirements for the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within a UK manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience working with automated machinery, control systems, motors, drives, and associated electrical equipment.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced production or heavy industrial environment.
• Military engineering experience with transferable electrical and mechanical maintenance skills.
