Mobile Engineer

Salary: £55 - 60k OTE!

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with strong PLC and controls experience to take on an exciting role within an engineering conglomerate. The Maintenance and controls Engineer will be joining an innovative market leader within the industry who can offer unlimited progression and technical development. The Maintenance and controls Engineer will be working within a number of fully automated sites based around the Midlands and surrounding areas, from the North down to the Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire area. The role will involve being based from home where you will attend sites within the group to carry out planned work and more often reactive work on all machinery on site, The PLC and controls issues will also be your responsibility. You will manage your own diary and will be required to be extremely flexible within the role. The core hours are 8am - 4:30pm but the sites you will be supporting all run 24/7 so flexibility is key when it comes to hours, in return the company will be very flexible with you when you need it. You will be on call 1 week in 3 which is 24 hour call out but this is mostly for remote support! With a solid structure in place there are clear progressions routes into the next role at any level you join. As a business, internal promotions are imperative - each role that becomes available is advertised internally accross the country for a minimum of 2 weeks before going external and you are guaranteed to be interviewed if you put your hand up. This really is a great oppurtunity for an experienced controls biased engineer to showcase their skills within an extremely reputable company. The role will include fault finding, modyfying and interagating of the latest Siemens PLC software. You will rarely need to write any programs as this is a support role which will require lots of fault finding and mainly modifications to existing programs to rectify problems. With this in mind you must have strong experience with Siemens or Allen Bradley PLC's and must be able to make major modifications as a minimum. So do not delay in applying! Any applicant who has experience within automated warehousing will be automatically shortlisted and almost guaranteed an interview.

Skills required for Maintenance and Controls Engineer

• Very strong electrically
• Strong controls/PLC knowledge and experience (at least heavy modifications)
• Electrical Engineering Qualifications
• An FMCG background would be desirable
