A Fantastic opportunity has become available as an assistant maintenance engineer and would suit any aspiring Maintenance Engineer. The role will be working for a leading FMCG manufacturing business and will be based at their state of the art plant in Shrewsbury. The Assistant Maintenance Engineer will be an integral part of a team of engineers, providing essential support to the night shift operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to the maintenance of critical equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of the facility.

Skills Required for Assistant Maintenance Engineer:

• Some experience in a maintenance engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing or food processing environment.
• Understanding of mechanical or electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
• Relevant engineering qualifications or certifications, such as an NVQ or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance issues.
• Flexibility to work night shifts and respond to urgent maintenance needs as they arise.
