Are you an experienced Factory Manager, Production Manager, Engineering Manager, Operations Manager, or Warehouse Manager looking for an exciting new challenge in Dartford? We're offering a competitive salary of £45,000 for a dynamic individual to join our team. A forklift license is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Hands-On Duties (80%):

• Setting up the production lines
• Day-to-day compliance checks
• Loading and unloading lorries
• Operating Fork Lift Truck
• Health & Safety checks on equipment
• Quality Control
• Managing delivery yard (goods in and out)

Hands-Off Duties (20%):

• Scheduling rotas, appraisals, and holidays
• Managing temp labor
• Stock control and stock take
• Facility Health & Safety checks
• HR tasks and disciplinary investigations

Production Operations Management:

• Lead and supervise a team of production workers and agency staff
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand
• Monitor production metrics and take corrective actions to meet targets
• Perform Fork Truck work as needed

Machinery Repair and Maintenance:

• Conduct regular machinery inspections
• Coordinate with maintenance technicians for repairs and scheduled maintenance
• Set up and run various types of machinery

Training and Development:

• Train production workers on standard operating procedures and safety protocols
• Produce training material and maintain the training matrix
• Provide support in troubleshooting equipment problems

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements, cost reductions, and waste elimination
• Apply Lean manufacturing principles to optimize production processes

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
• Conduct regular safety audits and address any safety concerns

Process Overview:

• Packaging enters the factory as raw product
• Goes through a box folder for folding and counting
• Bander process followed by leaflet addition
• Shrink-wrapped and stickered
• Re-palletized and pallet wrapped for dispatch

About You:

• Proven experience in a similar managerial role
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities
• Desirable: Forklift license
