Maintenance Engineering and Facilities Manager

Location: Hertfordshire

Salary: £70,000 dependant on experience

This company is a market leader in flooring manufacturing, providing a range of laminate flooring for hospitals, kitchens, showers, and more. With a turnover of £100m in 2020, this company has gone through significant growth and has established a reputation for excellence in the industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineering and Facilities Manager to join the team and play a pivotal role in managing the site's maintenance engineering and facilities function.

Skills Required for Maintenance Engineering and Facilities Manager

  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice in the function in terms of policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve performance
  • Contribute to new business initiatives and projects through supporting the implementation and integrating new equipment and processes into the operation
  • Continual review the site layout and footprint- to improve energy efficiency and alignment to sustainability
  • Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors
  • Manage contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements
  • Work closely with the manufacturing management team to ensure process availability is maximized
  • Development of appropriate and effective preventative maintenance plans that ensure the ongoing reliability of key production equipment that improves the OEE for manufacturing

To be considered for this role, you must have relevant experience in maintenance engineering and facilities management. A degree in engineering or a related field is preferred, as well as relevant certifications. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, have excellent communication and organizational skills, and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
