Plant Operator Engineer

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000

A new role has become available to work for an innovative engineering business at their client's site in West Yorkshire. The business has a patented manufacturing process that includes state of the art machinery. The opportunity has arisen for a proactive plant operator to work autonomously on site and keep the plant well maintained, monitor machines and make sure the site runs smoothly. The role will also have responsibility for parts of the production process.

Skills requirements, experience for the operator role:

Experience in running a production line, strong production understanding process background.

· Manufacturing experience within a food manufacturing role preferred but not essential.

· Electrical/mechanical qualifications would be beneficial.

· Ability to communicate, understand and follow instruction.

· Basic numeracy and literacy ability: stock control, production reporting, audit record keeping.

· General awareness of basic food hygiene /health and safety principles

· H&S and food safety start up checks.

· Reliability and good housekeeping.

· Confidence in delivering results and data to managers and visitors as required.
