Junior / Model Designer – Formula 1
This leading Formula 1 team are searching for a junior model designer to join their Aero department to help drive the team forward. The individual will be highly-motivated and will work in a small group, whilst engaging in technical discussions and cooperation with several other groups.
Day to Day responsibilities:
This role will be a model design role with tight deadlines.
The individual will create the 3D model parts for the 60% scale wind tunnel model offering support to the Aerodynamicists.
You will work from a conceptual surface design stage, right through to the components being performed on the Wind Tunnel Model.
Ultimately, you will be implementing your expertise and passion to drive the team forward, improving both working methodologies as well as performance.
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate must have a degree in a relevant engineering field. E.G. Mechanical, automotive or aeronautic engineering
Solid understanding of professional CAD software (preferably Catia V5)
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
